It is common in the mortgage industry for your loan to be sold to another bank, which will then be your “servicer.”
Our team is no different, and we typically pair you with an investor soon after closing.
Sometimes we will collect the first payment from you, but more often than not, your loan is sold to an investor within a month of your closing date.
So if you get something in the mail from a bank saying the payments will go to them, it is likely not a scam.
